Greetings from all of us here at Wisdom Tea House-

Some of you might know that art is a significant part of what we do. For others, this might be news altogether. We tend to believe that art is inherently relational - it creates contexts for conversations, which in turn foster a deeper sense of community and human engagement. So consider this eNewsletter a small way of staying in touch about our future offerings: live music, artist receptions, film nights and the like.

This Thursday night is Art Hop (5-8 pm) and we're featuring 2 talented artists: painter/photographer Dan Fraley (Palmer Lake) and musician Ryan Flick (Denver). We think their work is the perfect match for our complimentary world class iced teas and signature sweets. Please read on below if you want to know more about these artists. Better yet, drop by on Thursday night to rub shoulders with them and experience their gifts firsthand.

In
August, we'll begin hosting open mic nights as well as other concerts. We'll keep you posted!

Also, Monument is hosting free Concerts in the Park on Wednesday nights.
We're open from 6-10 pm, so drop by for dessert, tea and coffee.

Best-

Ryan Flick Bio
Ryan Flick began playing music in his early teens and lived in Nashville for a short time pursuing his musical dreams of performing and songwriting.
At 25, he writes and records his own music in an apartment in Denver and plays at many bars and coffee shops in the area, most notably The Walnut Room, The Bluebird Theatre and Stella's Coffeehouse.

Flick's music is earthy fare with strong ties to the folk and Americana musical tradition. And while his sound is understated, Flick imbues his music with emotional heft in the vein of classic singer-songwriters such as Bruce Springsteen and Ryan Adams.

His EP will hit iTunes in late July and you can currently check him out on www.myspace.com/ryanflickmusic
